The QWA strengthens its management team and focuses on growth.

The Quantum World Association (QWA; www.quantumwa.org) announces today the appointments of Ramses Gallego as Executive VicePresident and of Victor Canivell as Executive Managing Director, together with that of the new web and content manager, Denis Llussà.

 

This new team will drive the development and growth of the QWA as a leading ecosystem of users, suppliers and researchers that encourages the exchange of updated news and interpersonal experiences as quantum information technology initiates its rollout. Beyond this interchange, the QWA intends to focus and influence deployment recommendations and certifications to help make quantum computing a business reality.

Ramses Gallego is Strategist and Evangelist at the Office of the CTO at Symantec, and has been International Vice President of the Board of ISACA, the international profesional association focused on IT governance. Ramses will oversee the path to the future of the association and act as the QWA ambassador. He is certified in all key security certifications. He holds an MBA from ISEAD and is based in Barcelona, Spain.
Victor Canivell

Victor Canivell

Managing Director at Quantum World Association

Victor Canivell is an experienced executive with a successful track record as European head and VicePresident of IT multinationals (HP, 3Com, Silicon Graphics, PerkinElmer) and as CEO/ Board member of software startups (in security and bioinformatics markets). His passion for the quantum world was sparked by his PhD in theoretical physics at the University of Barcelona. Victor will be responsible for the strategy and execution of the QWA initiatives. He also holds an MBA from ESADE and is currently based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Denís Llussà

Community Manager

Denís Llussà is a student of computer and telecommunications engineering at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona with a keen interest in the upcoming revolution of quantum computing.

The QWA’s mission is to become a value-add forum and driver of initiatives to help make the new paradigm of quantum computing a practical business reality. The QWA welcomes the contributions, initiatives and feedback from users, suppliers and developers of this new technology.
